Use highlights, underlines, redactions, and flags to mark important sections of your transcript for quick review and reference.
Annotations make it easy to organize, review, and recall key portions of your transcript.
Annotation Options
Each annotation option can be individually selected or excluded when exporting reports for complete control over what appears in the final output.
Highlight
Emphasize key text within the transcript to make important details stand out.
Highlight Options: Yellow, Lime, Cyan, Magenta
Underline
Draw attention to specific lines or sections for better organization.
Underline Options: Red, Blue, Green, Black
Redact
Cover sensitive information with a solid box to maintain confidentiality.
Redaction Options: Black, White
Flag
Mark sections or add notes for reference.
Flag Options: Flag, Flag with Note
Flag with Note is especially useful for recording objections or applying objection codes.
How to Annotate a Transcript
Use annotation tools to mark selected sections of text.
- Tap a blue line number to set the start of the selection.
- Tap another blue line number to set the end of the selection.
The selected text turns blue, and the designation popover appears. - Choose one or more annotation tools: Highlight, Underline, Redact, or Flag.
- The section is now annotated.
How to Remove an Annotation
Follow the same steps as above, but deselect the applied annotation to remove it.
- Navigate to the annotated text.
- Tap the blue line number at the start of the selection. Tap the blue line number at the end of your selection.
The selected text turns blue, and the designation popover appears. - Deselect the annotation tool(s) you want to remove: Highlight, Underline, Redact, or Flag.
- That annotation is now removed from that text.
