What are the supported file types in ExhibitsPad?

Adobe Acrobat PDF is the standard format for document production. Our best practices recommendation is to use PDF files for all documents and photographs whenever possible.

NOTE: Password protected files need to have the password removed in order to be viewable in ExhibitsPad.

Tagged Image File Format

.TIF .TIFF

An older bitmap image standard for document production.

NOTE: ExhibitsPad can import single-page or multi-page TIFF files.

Joint Photography Experts Group

.JPG .JPEG

Bitmap image format used primarily for photos or images.

Portable Network Graphics

.PNG

Bitmap image format used primarily for photos or images.

Text File

.TXT

Lightweight files used for deposition and trial transcripts in TranscriptPad. If a TXT file is imported into ExhibitsPad the page formatting will be lost, but page and line numbering will match the court reporter’s official transcript.

Video File Formats

.MOV .MP4

If you have any difficulty with a video file we suggest using the free Handbrake desktop program (http://www.handbrake.fr) to convert video into one of the supported formats.
