Presenting Evidence in Remote Environments

Use TrialPad with WebEx, Teams, Google Meet, etc to present documents and media during remote depositions, mediations, or trials.

It's important to understand the difference between TrialPad for Mac and TrialPad for iPad and how they integrate with remote platforms.

  • TrialPad for Mac opens a dedicated presentation window that can be shared in any remote meeting platform.

  • TrialPad for iPad integrates with Zoom and can also connect to Teams, Webex, Google Meet, and other platforms using third-party screen-sharing apps.

If you're using Zoom, please see Presenting Evidence Over Zoom in our Help Center.

If you're using another remote platform, please see Presenting From an iPad Using Reflector in our Help Center.

Ensuring Video Plays Smoothly

Before the proceeding, test by sharing a sample document and then a short video clip.

Confirm:

  • Participants can hear your audio: Ask for a quick response when testing.
  • Volume is sufficient: Adjust iPad volume to maximum, then fine-tune in the platform’s audio settings.
  • No feedback or echo occurs: If audio is distorted, use headphones or disable any nearby microphones.

Best Practices for Remote Presentation

  • Test visuals and audio in advance with a colleague on the same platform you’ll use in your proceeding.
  • Use a document and multimedia (with audio) that is not evidence to test.
  • Confirm that the presentation window is properly shared and sized for all participants.
