Events are the basis for all the powerful features of TimelinePad. Events can be created individually, by duplicating an existing Event, by importing a file, or by importing an Excel file created with our Excel Import Template.
Tap on the + button to create new Event(s):
New Event - Creates an individual Event and opens up the New Event window to add a Title, Subtitle, and Description as necessary. You can assign a Color, Icon, or Tag in this window and attach a file if desired.
Duplicate Event - If you have an existing Event and want to save time creating another Event with similar information, you can tap on Duplicate Event (you need to have an Event selected for this menu option to be available). This will open up the New Event window with all the information from the existing Event already populated for you to edit as necessary.
New Event from File - This option is similar to New Event but will open the import window to allow you to select a file to attach to a new Event. Once you select the file, the New Event window will open to add a Title, Subtitle, and Description as necessary. You can assign a Color, Icon, or Tag in this window and attach a file if desired.
Import Excel File - You can use the powerful Excel Import Template to instantly import multiple events. To download the template, tap on the Share button, then tap on Download Excel Import Template. This will ensure you are using a compatible Excel template that can import your Events into TimelinePad.
