Creating a New Case File on Your iPad

Learn how to create a new Case File in any LIT SUITE app and save it to the recommended On My iPad location.

How To Create a New Case File on iPad

  1. Open the LIT SUITE app you want to use—TrialPad, TranscriptPad, or DocReviewPad.

    If you are using TimelinePad, please see: Creating and Naming a New Timeline
  2. On the Case Selection Screen, tap Create New Case.

  3. From the sidebar, select On My iPad as the storage location.
    This ensures offline access and better reliability during proceedings.

  4. Tap Create New Case again to confirm.

  5. In the Template Picker, choose:

    • Bare Arms v. Brotherwell to explore a sample Case File, or

    • Empty Case File to start fresh with your own materials.

  6. Enter a descriptive name for your Case File, such as Smith v. Jones.

  7. Tap Create New Case File.

You’ve now created and opened your first Case File! You’re ready to begin importing documents and evidence.
