Why is my presentation not showing on the TV monitors when connected to the courtroom equipment?

If you have the TrialPad Output switch turned On, and have tapped on Present, and the TV monitors in the courtroom are not displaying any content, it may be an HDCP error. To resolve the issue you will need to ask courtroom personnel to change a setting on the courtroom equipment.

HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) is a form of digital copy protection developed to prevent the unauthorized copying of digital content as it travels across connections. It is commonly used in video equipment with HDMI connections and may prevent you from being able to display content on the connected monitors.

You can test the issue by connecting your iPad directly to one of the TV monitors. If the content is displayed on the monitor, then the issue is with the courtroom equipment.

Depending on the equipment used in this particular courtroom the settings may need to be adjusted to allow your device to present. The solution is to disable the HDCP in the courtroom equipment settings or preferences.
