Files can appear unavailable if their format isn’t supported in that section of the app or if viewed from the Case Selection screen.
If files appear grayed out when you try to import them, it’s usually for one of two reasons:
-
You’re viewing unsupported file types when trying to import into a Case File.
-
You’re viewing files from the Case Selection screen.
Unsupported File Types
You can’t import a Case File into another Case File - only supported file types such as PDFs, images, or transcripts can be added.
Files may appear unavailable if you’re trying to import a format that isn’t supported in that section of the app.
Each app has specific file types it can import:
-
In TrialPad, if you’re on the Multimedia tab, document files will appear grayed out, and vice versa.
-
In DocReviewPad, multimedia files will appear grayed out because that app only supports documents and images.
-
In TranscriptPad, multimedia files will appear grayed out because they must be linked to a transcript that’s already been imported.
For more information on supported file types, please review the following in our Help Center:
You’re viewing files from the Case Selection screen.
The Case Selection screen is where you create new or open existing Case Files - not where you import documents. Files can only be imported after a Case File is open.
