      Using an External USB Drive with the LIT SUITE Apps

      Quickly import or back up Case Files using a compatible USB drive for fast and reliable transfers.

      Using an external USB drive with the LIT SUITE apps is a quick and easy way to import files and make backups of your Case Files.

      Recommended Drives and Adapters

      We recommend the Samsung T5 Portable Solid State Drive (SSD) for its speed, reliability, and included cables. It supports both USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A connections: Samsung T5 Portable SSD

      If your device uses a Lightning connector, you’ll need the Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter to connect the drive: Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter

      Compatibility and Transfer Options

      An external USB drive allows you to:

      • Transfer files between your Mac or Windows computer and iPad.

      • Import discovery documents, exhibits, or multimedia files into any LIT SUITE app.

      • Back up complete Case Files for safekeeping or archiving.

      For best performance, use USB-C connections whenever available, and always eject drives safely before disconnecting.
