Export Documents or Multimedia

Export documents, Key Docs, or multimedia with stickers and annotations to a USB drive, iCloud Drive, or Files app for backup or sharing.

You can export one or multiple files from the Documents, Key Docs, or Multimedia tab to iCloud Drive, Files, or a USB drive. Exported files include their folder structure and Exhibit Stickers. Exports from Key Docs will also retain annotations.

Export selected documents

  1. Go to the Documents tab.

  2. Tap Select, choose your files, then tap Edit > Export.

  3. Confirm the number of items to export by tapping Export Items.

  4. Choose a destination, such as iCloud Drive, and tap Done.

  5. A confirmation appears when the export is complete.

Tip: Each export creates a new folder named TrialPad Export with the date and time of export.

Export all documents with folder structure

  1. Tap Select, then Select All.

  2. Tap Edit > Export.

  3. Choose a USB drive or iCloud Drive as the destination.

  4. Tap Done to start the export.

  5. The folder hierarchy from TrialPad is preserved.

Export annotated Key Docs

  1. Go to the Key Docs tab.

  2. Add annotations using Highlight, Pen, or Callout tools.

  3. Tap Select, then Select All.

  4. Tap Edit > Export, choose a destination, and tap Done.

  5. Annotations and Exhibit Stickers are included in the exported files.

Export multimedia files

  1. Go to the Multimedia tab.

  2. Tap Select, choose the files, then tap Edit > Export.

  3. Confirm and tap Export Items.

  4. Choose a destination and tap Done.

  5. Edited clips and original files are exported in the Multimedia folder.

To move an export to Dropbox or other cloud services

  1. Open the Files app.

  2. Tap Select, choose your exported folder, then tap Move.

  3. Select your Dropbox location and tap Move.

For best results, export Key Docs when you want to retain highlights, callouts, and other annotations.
