Assigning Exhibit Stickers

Exhibit stickers organize your evidence with labels showing exhibit numbers, case details, and more. Exhibit Stickers are visible in the Document and Multimedia List as well as on  Documents.

Exhibit Sticker Options

The following are options for Exhibit Sticker options for Documents and Multimedia files.

Text Options

• Header (e.g., case style)
• Title (commonly “Exhibit”)
• Prefix (e.g., Plaintiff, Defendant)
• Start Number or Letter (auto-increments, editable)
• Footer (e.g., case number) - Choose one or two line footer.

Appearance Options

• Set the sticker's color, size, and position on the page
• Apply the same exhibit number to each page (e.g., Exhibit 1, Exhibit 1, Exhibit 1).
• Add incremental page numbers (e.g., Exhibit 1.1, Exhibit 1.2, Exhibit 1.3).

Assigning Exhibit Stickers

Exhibit Stickers can be assigned to individual files or to many files at once.

How to Assign an Exhibit Sticker to One File (from List)

1. Swipe right on a file in the Document or Multimedia list. 
2. Tap Assign Exhibit Sticker to open Exhibit Sticker options.
3. Set your Exhibit Sticker options.
4. Tap Apply.

How to Assign an Exhibit Sticker to One File (from Preview Window)

1. Press and hold a document in the Preview Window.
2. Tap Assign Exhibit Sticker to open Exhibit Sticker options.
3. Set your Exhibit Sticker options.
4. Tap Apply.

How to Assign Exhibit Stickers to Multiple Documents

1. Tap Select and select all items or choose to Select All.

2. Tap Edit.

3. Tap Exhibit Stickers, then tap Assign…

4. Set your sticker options, then tap Apply to assign stickers sequentially.

Assigning a Sticker to a Specific Page

If you want to assign an exhibit sticker to a single page (e.g., page 4 of a 10-page document), that page must be a separate document.

You can do this in several ways:

• Extract page 4 outside of TrialPad and import it as a one-page document.
• Use Extract in DocReviewPad, then Export that page to TrialPad.
• From TrialPad, tap Share > Share Current Page > Mail, then reimport it as a new document.
• Take a Snapshot of the page in TrialPad to create a separate one-page document.

Using Exhibit Stickers in Presentation

• Enable Show Document Label in the Presentation Log to display exhibit and page numbers as a label on the output screen during presentation.
• This label helps the witness, judge, and jury identify the exhibit and page shown.

Filtering and Exporting by Exhibit Number

• Use the Exhibit # filter to view documents with exhibit stickers in numeric or letter order.
• Tap the filter again to reverse sort order.
• Export selected documents by Exhibit #:

How to Export All Documents with Exhibit Number:

1. Filter by Exhibit #.
2. Tap Select and then tap Select All.
3. Tap Edit and select Export. Choose either Export or Export by Exhibit #.
4. Confirm export and save to your desired location.

Complete this on the Multimedia tab to export those.
