Troubleshoot a Missing Case File

When you create or open a Case File, iPadOS or macOS uses Apple’s built-in Files (iPad) or Finder (Mac) browser to decide where files live and how they behave.

Because of how iPadOS and MacOS works, the LIT SUITE apps can only access Case Files where they are stored in the Apple Files app. iPadOS and MacOS does not allow apps to delete files or folders. If a Case File disappears, it’s usually because the file was deleted by the user or has become temporarily hidden.

Finding Missing Case Files on the iPad

Check If the App is still on Your iPad

If the app is deleted, and the Case Files were stored in the App Folder in On My iPad, the Case Files will have been lost.
