Whether you use an iPad or Mac, you can set up each device to automatically download and install any LIT SUITE app updates as they become available. Some customers prefer to manually update their apps to give them the opportunity to read the release notes to see what is new, improved, or fixed in each update. Instructions for both options are provided below.
iPad
To turn on automatic updates on your iPad, go to Settings > App Store > Automatic Downloads and turn the switch On for App Updates. This will automatically download and install any new updates for the LIT SUITE apps as they become available.
If you prefer to read the release notes associated with each update, you can turn this App Updates setting to Off, which means you will have to manually update all your apps on your device. To do this, open the App Store app on your iPad and tap on your name icon in the top right. In the Account window that appears, scroll down to see the Available Updates section. This area will list all the apps that have updates available, and if you tap on the More button, you can read the release notes for each app update. At this point you can tap on each app’s Update button, or tap on the Update All button at the top to update all your apps to the most recent versions.
Mac
To turn on automatic updates on your Mac, launch the App Store app, then from the App Store menu choose Settings… and in the resulting window check the box for Automatic Updates. This will automatically download and install any new updates for the LIT SUITE apps as they become available.
If you prefer to read the release notes associated with each update, you can uncheck the box for Automatic Updates which means you will have to manually update all your apps on your device. To do this, open the App Store app on your Mac and in the left column click on Updates. This area will list all the apps that have updates available, and if you click on the More button, you can read the release notes for each app update. At this point you can click on each app’s Update button, or click on the Update All button at the top to update all your apps to the most recent versions.
