Control what content leaves your workspace and how your exported files are named and delivered.
DocReviewPad gives you full control over what and how you export from your case file. You can include only key materials, specify visible details, and choose where the export goes.
Select Content to Export
You can export every document in a folder or narrow it down to those containing specific annotations or Issue Codes. Exports can be done at either the document or page level - ideal when you only need a single chart, page of testimony, or key record excerpt.
- Export the Entire Case File or by Folder - The sidebar view dictates what the export will be based upon, but you can also select the entire Case File.
- Choose Documents or Pages - Exports can be done at either the document or page level.
- Documents with Annotations or Issue Codes - Export Documents based on Annotations applied and/or Issue Codes assigned.
- Exclude Confidential or Privileged - Any documents that have been tagged Confidential or Privileged will not be included in the export. Individual pages from a document can be removed from the document during the export process.
Select What to Include
When preparing an export, you decide what information appears.
For productions to opposing counsel, you may want a clean document set. For internal or trial preparation, you can include annotations, Issue Codes, and Bates numbers to reflect your case analysis and trial-ready work product. Personal markups and notes can always be excluded to preserve work product confidentiality.
Choose Naming Convention
Choose the naming convention for the exported Documents.
- File Names - Use the original file name: "Document Name.pdf"
- Bates Numbers - Use the Bates range: "ACME-123456789 - ACME-123456790.pdf"
- Both - Combine the file name with the bates range: "Document Name ACME-123456789 - ACME-123456790.pdf"
Decide Destination
Choose where to save your export:
- Save locally to On My iPad or Desktop or Documents on Mac.
- Save to iCloud Drive or a USB drive.
- Export directly into TrialPad to maintain a seamless connection from document review to courtroom presentation.
