DocReviewPad Export to TrialPad

Export reviewed documents from DocReviewPad into TrialPad to assign exhibit stickers or present evidence at mediation or trial.

You can prepare reviewed documents in DocReviewPad for presentation in TrialPad by exporting them with issue codes, annotations, and Bates numbers. This process helps streamline trial preparation by automatically organizing your files into labeled folders and Key Docs.

How to Export From DocReviewPad

You can export selected folders or documents, the folder you’re currently viewing, or your entire Case File.

  1. In the Documents tab, tap Select.

  2. Select folders or documents.

  3. Tap Export, then tap Selected Folders and Documents to open the Export options.

Choose Export Options

The Export popover includes six categories of export options.

1. Export Type
Choose to export entire Documents or individual Pages.

Example: Exporting five 10-page documents as Pages creates 50 individual files.

2. What to Export

  • Keep Export All On to include everything.

  • Turn it Off to export only documents with annotations, Notes, or Issue Codes.

  • To export only pages with Issue Codes, return to Step 1 and choose Pages instead of Documents.

3. Exclusions

  • Pages tagged Confidential or Privileged are excluded by default.

  • Turn Off either switch to include them.

4. What to Include
All switches are On by default:

  • Highlight, Pen, and Redaction tools can be shown or hidden.

  • Notes are included as:

    • Separate pages (if exporting to the Files app).

    • Summary Report only (if exporting to TrialPad).

  • Optionally include Bates Numbers and a Summary Report.

5. File Naming
Choose to name files by File Name or Bates Numbers.

Multi-page documents exported with Bates Numbers will display the full Bates range in the file name.

6. Destination

  • Select TrialPad to import directly into a labeled folder in the Documents tab.

  • Pages assigned Issue Codes will appear in their respective Key Docs folders.

  • Or choose a folder in the Files app as the export destination.

This workflow allows you to complete your document review in DocReviewPad, then export a fully organized set of files into TrialPad.
