iCloud Drive automatically backs up files to the cloud from your device which may mean that a Case File is not available if you have no internet access. If you're going to be offline (e.g. a courthouse with no WiFi or a long flight), you should download any Case Files stored on iCloud Drive to make sure they are available locally on your device so you can work on them while you're not connected to the internet.
To download iCloud Drive Case Files to your iPad
- Open the Files app.
- Go to the Case File that you want to store on your device.
- Long-press on the Case File, then choose Download Now from the resulting popover.
- Any changes you make to the Case File will automatically upload to iCloud Drive when you're back online.
On the iPad you also have the option to store your Case Files in the On My iPad location so they are always available, even when offline.
To download iCloud Drive Case Files to your Mac
