      Backing Up and Sharing Case Files

      Share or back up LIT SUITE Case Files using AirDrop, USB drive, email, or cloud storage for fast access, redundancy, or collaboration.

      You can share or back up Case Files from any LIT SUITE app. The process is the same in each app and uses the Files app on your iPad.

      Before you begin

      • Confirm the recipient has the same LIT SUITE app installed.

      • Update your apps in the App Store.

      • Ensure the Case File is stored On My iPad for reliable access.

      How to Locate your Case File

      1. Open the Files app.

      2. Tap On My iPad > TrialPad (or another app folder).

      3. Optional: Press and hold on the folder and tap Favorite to pin it to the sidebar.

      4. Press and hold the Case File name to see sharing options.

      Share a Case File with AirDrop

      1. Press and hold the Case File.

      2. Tap Share > AirDrop, then choose the recipient.

      3. Make sure both devices have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on.

        • AirDrop settings can be found under Settings > General > AirDrop.

      Tip: AirDrop works within about 30 feet and is the fastest way to share a Case File locally.

      Copy to a USB drive

      1. Connect a USB drive to your iPad.

      2. Press and hold the Case File and tap Move.

      3. Select the USB drive and tap Copy.

      4. Wait for the file to finish copying.

      To import on another iPad:

      1. Insert the USB drive.

      2. Open Files > USB Drive, then press and hold the Case File.

      3. Tap Move > On My iPad > TrialPad, then tap Copy.

      Always move the Case File to On My iPad before opening. External drives are not recommended for live use.

      Share by email

      1. Press and hold the Case File and tap Share.

      2. Tap Mail to send the file as a ZIP attachment.

      3. The recipient should:

        • Press and hold the attachment and tap Save to Files.

        • Choose On My iPad > TrialPad > Save.

        • Press and hold the ZIP file and tap Uncompress.

      Upload to cloud storage

      Before moving to a cloud provider (like Dropbox), compress the Case File:

      1. Press and hold the Case File and tap Compress.

      2. Press and hold the resulting ZIP file and tap Move.

      3. Select your cloud storage provider and tap Copy.

      Case Files use Apple’s Package format. Compressing ensures compatibility with third-party services.

      To import from the cloud:

      1. Download the ZIP to On My iPad > TrialPad.

      2. Press and hold the ZIP file and tap Uncompress.

      3. Tap to open the Case File.
