Activating ExhibitsPad

Use your LIT SUITE license or QR code to activate ExhibitsPad for use during trial or deliberation.

Activation Options

ExhibitsPad is part of the LIT SUITE. Depending on how your device is licensed, you can activate it automatically or by scanning a QR code.

  • If the device isn’t associated with a LIT SUITE license, it must be activated using a QR code generated from another LIT SUITE app on a licensed device.
  • If your device is signed in to an Apple Account with an active LIT SUITE license, ExhibitsPad activates automatically.

You’ll also need to reactivate ExhibitsPad each time your LIT SUITE license renews.

Activation on Devices with QR Code

To activate ExhibitsPad using a QR code, you’ll need another device with an active LIT SUITE license.

How to Activate ExhibitsPad using QR code

Open ExhibitsPad on the device you want to activate and tap ExhibitsPad Activation. If prompted, tap Allow to give ExhibitsPad access to the camera.

  1. On another iPad, open any LIT SUITE app and go to Account > Activate ExhibitsPad.
  2. When the QR code appears, point the camera at the code below.
  3. Once scanned, ExhibitsPad will unlock automatically.

Activation on Devices with a LIT SUITE License

A LIT SUITE license can only be used across three devices signed in to the same Apple Account. Apple doesn’t allow signing in to more than three devices simultaneously, and managing multiple devices under one account isn’t recommended for security and administration reasons.

If you need additional devices, consider using ExhibitsPad under the expanded limits outlined in our End User License Agreement or purchasing additional licenses through the App Store or via an Enterprise license.

License and Device Limits

A single LIT SUITE license can be used on up to three devices signed in to the same Apple Account.

Because ExhibitsPad is designed for juror use during deliberations, our End User License Agreement allows installation on up to twenty-four devices. This ensures ExhibitsPad can be used by jurors, alternates, court personnel, and counsel on all sides.

For more information on license limits, please review Installing ExhibitsPad on Multiple Devices on our Help Center.
